INTERVIEW COACHING
Consider the value of being privately coached and mentored as you prepare for that important interview.
Consider the value of having an independent, unbiased expert assess the role, your background, the hiring company structure and culture and to then provide you with tips and pointers about probable ‘hot buttons and pain points’ that will make the interviewer separate you from the rest of the pack…
Consider the value inherent in running through some interview scenario’s and hearing first hand how well you did – what was great, what was not so good and what things could well make the difference between getting an offer or being shown the door.
Consider the value in having an independent, unbiased expert role play as the interviewer; asking an assortment of questions pertinent to the sector/role and helping you to recognize and deal with ‘gotcha!’ questions.
Consider the value of receiving immediate feedback as you rehearse:
· If you tend to drift off topic or fail to answer a key question - you will be helped with tips about how to focus your thoughts and words…
· If you are coming across as self centred - you will be guided as to better ways to project who you are and the value that you would bring to the hiring company…
· If you are making a good impression - you will be advised about how to make it even better…
· If you are nervous and it is apparent - you will benefit from tips on ways to quell the butterflies…
Consider that for every job opportunity you go after, you will be in direct competition with many other candidates. We will prepare you, we will advise you, we will coach you and we will help you differentiate yourself from the masses!
Interview Mentoring & Coaching
8 Hours of Expert Advice & Guidance – Arranged to Suit Your Schedule
You pay for and receive a minimum of 8 Hours of private and personalized guidance and advice. The 8 hours might occur over several days, a couple of weeks or a month or so – the schedule and activities are aligned to the applicant’s timetable.
In certain cases, the applicant does not yet know when the interview will be held or indeed with what company; they are laying the groundwork to be ready when the opportunity presents itself – this is the value inherent in retainer type arrangements, you pre-pay for our advice and guidance and when you are ready, we are ready to help you ace the interview.
Instead of focusing on a particular job opportunity, some job seekers choose to retain our service as a way to improve his/her interview skills without a particular opportunity in mind – we adopt a forensic approach in such cases, reaching back into the applicant’s history of prior interviews.
The eight hours comprises:
A. Review – examining the applicant’s resume, identifying applicant’s strengths and weaknesses relevant to the particular job opportunity, finding out more about the hiring company, etc.
B. Personal conversations and e-mail exchanges with the applicant to better appreciate who they are, what they are looking for and what makes him/her tick.
C. One or more Semi-formal interview ‘dry runs’ conducted via video teleconferencing, video /audio clips or regular telephone depending on the applicant’s access to facilities.
D. A ‘final’ check-in by telephone immediately prior to the interview to ensure the applicant is well prepared, confident and ready to ace the interview.
Notes:
I. The eight hours of time are not governed or bound by our normal hours of business (North America - Eastern Standard Time). Due to applicant’s time zone, personal preferences or current working environment we fully anticipate that applicants might need to hold conversations or participate in virtual interviews at times outside of our normal business hours. We align our schedule to that of the applicant and are happy to schedule conversations on weekends.
II. The eight hours are an approximation - you will always receive at least eight hours of support and, when a little more time is necessary to complete the cycle, we will devote the time at no incremental cost.
III. If you wish to retain us in order to pursue further opportunities, each of these would be handled under a new retainer arrangement. Because we value your business, we will add two hours of support to each new retainer arrangement without increasing the cost to you.
Next Steps…
1. Send an initial e-mail to Information@TLIRGroup.com outlining your background, a snapshot of the opportunity you want to go after, your contact details and the turnaround time you are looking for.
